Update – Netbook von Nokia: Nokia Booklet 3G ist offiziell + Bilder + Video

Jetzt sind die Gerüchte wahr geworden: Nokia steigt voll in den Netbook-Markt ein. Heute haben die Finnen ihr erstes Netbook – das “Nokia Booklet 3G” – offiziell vorgestellt. Dazu gab es gleich lecker Bilder und auch ein Video. Nur mit den technischen Daten war der Hersteller noch ein wenig knauserig. Bereits im Februar hatte Nokis Chef Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo entsprechende Pläne bestätigt.

Ein paar Informationen sind der ersten Pressemitteilung dem Video zu entnehmen. So scheint es, als wenn das Nokia Booklet 3G aus Aluminium hergestellt werden würde. Das Gehäuse des Nokia Booklet 3G wird aus Aluminium gefertigt und erinnert ein wenig an die Unibody-Gehäuse aktueller Apple-Notebooks. Der Deckel ist farblich abgesetzt. Das Gesamtgewicht liegt bei 1,25 kg. Im Gehäuse finden sich ein UMTS-Modem – natürlich mit HSDPA- und HSUPA-Unterstützung – und WLAN nach den Standards 80.211 a,b,g und n. Für den Anschluss an externe Wiedergabegeräte wird das Booklet 3G über einen HDMI-Ausgang verfügen. Das Display soll eine HD-ready-Auflösung haben.

Welcher Prozessor und welche Chipsatzplattform verbaut wird, ist noch offen. Dafür wirbt Nokia schon mit der Laufzeit. Für satte 12 Stunden soll der Akku Energie bereitstellen. Zur restlichen bereits bekannten Hardware-Ausstattung gehören eine Webcam, ein SD-Card-Reader, Bluetooth und ein A-GPS-Chip.

Als Betriebssystem setzt Nokia Windows 7 ein. Dieses wird eng verzahnt mit dem eigenen Dienst OVI.

Weitere Informationen zum Nokia Booklet 3G sind noch rar. Erst am 2. September will Nokia mehr über Preis und Verfügbarkeit verraten.

Update: Im Netz versuchen sich erste Seiten am Erraten der CPU-Bestückung. Chippy vom UMPCportal tippt auf den Intel Atom Z520 mit 1,33 GHz. Brad von Liliputing dagegen tippt auf den Atom N270 mit 1,6 GHz. Aus dem HDMI-Port schließt er, das Nokia Booklet 3G müsse mit Nvidias Ion ausgestattet sein.

The mini-laptop also comes with an HDMI port for HD video out, a front facing camera for video calling, integrated Bluetooth and an easily accessible SD card reader. Other premium features include the 10-inch glass HD ready display and integrated A-GPS which, working with the Ovi Maps gadget, can pinpoint your position in seconds and open up access for a truly personal maps experience. The Nokia Booklet 3G also brings a number of other rich Ovi experiences to life, whether its access and playback of millions of tracks through the Nokia Music Store, or using Ovi Suite to sync seamlessly from your Nokia smartphone, to your mini-laptop, to the cloud.

The Nokia Booklet 3G will widen the Nokia portfolio, satisfying a need in the operator channel, and bringing another important ingredient in the move towards becoming a mobile solutions company.
